Terms of service
These terms are for Notebook, operated by Bryant Hargreaves. Contact help@openrtc.app with service questions.
Using Notebook
Notebook lets you create local documents, run code, and invite others into a shared notebook. You may use local features without an account. Sign-in is required to host sharing and connect your signed-in devices. You are responsible for protecting your account and invitation links and for the content and code you share.
Shared access
A valid invitation grants access to its notebook while the host keeps the ticket open. Guests can receive and retain a local copy. Stopping sharing does not erase copies already received. Share only with people you intend to trust with that notebook and, when enabled, its Python session.
Code and external content
Python and notebook output can execute code, access permitted files, and make permitted network requests. Review code and imported files before running or sharing them. External websites, packages, media, and embedded content have their own terms and practices.
Acceptable use
Do not use Notebook to violate another person's rights, distribute malicious code, interfere with the service or other users, or obtain access beyond a capability you were given. We may limit access to protect the service and its users, subject to applicable law.
Your content and copies
You retain rights to content you create. You grant the limited permission needed to process and transmit content to participants you authorize. Keep your own exports if you need a backup; a document saved only on one device may be lost if that device or its local storage is lost. Deleting a local copy does not delete copies on other devices.
Availability and changes
The service and its features may change. These terms will be updated here when material changes are made.
